I started Hyperion after researching European windows. Maybe you have experienced using them. They work flawlessly and you can feel the quality of every part.

We needed to replace our “new” (at least not old) windows that deteriorated rapidly after only 5 years. We had trouble with the cranks, screens that didn’t seal at the edges, and fog between the layers of glass which needed to be replaced and not fixed. These were not inexpensive windows and manufactured in Canada.

Therefore, when it was obvious they needed to be replaced, I sought out the windows I had seen in Europe. I remember standing in a hotel in Italy and opening and closing the windows because I couldn’t get over how smoothly they operated and the feel of the hardware was substantial. Since then, I have visited the manufacturing facilities of Europe’s largest producer of frames and visited the fabricators who hand-customize them into windows.

I confess to being a DIY nerd. Once I got onto learning about European windows, I couldn’t believe the differences between them and what we typically get here in Canada. I’m not saying there aren’t well made Canadian products, but the cost is prohibitive. I am importing comparable and usually superior products that sell for approximately 40% less. In the window business that is usually a savings of tens of thousands of dollars and up.
